Nobu Grand Wailea Maui balances the grand scale of the Grand Wailea Resort with carved, organic, and stacked forms to create intimate, human-scaled moments in a spectacular open-air setting. The hotel is located on the southwestern edge of the island, and the restaurant gently steps down from an arrival court into an open-air dining room and terrace overlooking the beach and Pacific Ocean. We allowed the setting and views to prevail, with a light, airy palette, local materials, and textures inspired by shifting sands, palm trees, and nautical touchpoints.
