Nobu 57th Extension

New York

2026 (Rockwell Group)

The restaurant evokes a seamless dialogue between two eras of opulence, blending the refined elegance of Japan’s Golden Age with the grandeur of New York’s Gilded Age. Set in Uptown Manhattan amid stately historic buildings, its design marries delicate Japanese craftsmanship, burnt (Shou Sugi) wood, shoji screens, and hand-painted motifs with folded screen ceilings, and polished brass accents reminiscent of 19th-century New York splendor, creating an atmosphere that feels both intimate and majestic. The result is a space where tradition and extravagance coexist, offering guests a dining experience that feels like stepping into a timeless intersection of East and West.
